Weigh & Dine ⚖️
Weight and Dine is a pay-by-weight lunch line. It consists of individual hot/cold meal components, a self-service cash register with a trading-approved scale and a RFID+QR reader.
Resources
Customer process
- Take a tray and a plate and other utensils (same as normal lunch line)
- Choose to take any of the salad components
- choose warm components on warm point
- Add nuts/etc
- Optional: pick bread from bread desk
- move plate from tray to scale
- Pay (choices: take out or normal)
- Optionally: identify with MyFlavoria
- Return plate to tray
- Dine as normal, but optionally can buy more with no extra fee (as of 2026), though at cost of extra payment hassle.

Sales Data
Self-service cash register data is stored the same as from lunch line. Special: includes weight of the total plate contents in grams!
Data quality
- Plate weight variance: ±5g
- Some components are not listed
- Menu: Only names and allergens, no nutrients
- Weight: no individual components!
